Parents’ effect on children’s perceptions of TV reality

Children whose parents talk to them about television and television content see a greater disparity between the reality as presented on TV and true reality. In addition, talking to kids about television increases the likelihood that children will perceive negative effects of television.  All of this according to a new study done by An & Lee (2010).
